Since its completion in 1924, the 138-mile trail has given hikers—whether through segments or a thru-hike—the chance to immerse themselves in the outdoors: an adventure and an experience that celebrates our public lands. Enjoy many remote and quite lakes and ponds, abundant rivers and streams as you hike this fairly moderate terrain.

Northville's Kick-Off Celebration

3 day Olympic-style kickoff event to recognize National Trails Day and the NPT 100 Celebration. Hikers, visitors and trail workers can expect full community support educating the public on the NPT Trail and Northville’s iconic, historic role.

Trail Mix & Tunes at Piseco Lake

Located at the Inn on Piseco Lake - The Irondequiot. There will be live music, food, venders, activities and crafts for kids, demonstrations and info tables, and special appearances by Smokey the Bear and Bigfoot! S'mores and a campfire will close out the evening! More details to come.
